GREEN SURGERY For those events, stadiums and venues which needs a
greening overhaul, we can do a one day intensive ‘Green Surgery’. It is
advised an in-house person be put in charge of greening initiatives, so that
when we leave they can implement the goals we set together. We will go through logistics, operations, purchasing,
waste, energy, transport, water and sanitation issues. Additionally we can
discuss green communications – what to say about your new green stance so as
to avoid ‘greenwash’. We will produce a report of practical recommendations –
things you can change without much fuss to big effect, things you’ll need to
work hard at to change but with huge reward, things that may be uncomfortable
to do but highly effective, along with small steps and small changes. Booking in for Green Surgery also means you have us at
the end of the phone when you need a question answered, some extra advice, or
a sounding board. * a fair usage policy applies! The only way for you to
truly ‘go green’ is to embed the concepts into the heart of your
organisation, rather than rely on us as an ‘add on’, so we work towards
up-skilling your staff and getting them to think green for themselves. § Pre-meeting – client to supply details on current
operations. A list of questions will be provided to answer before we meet.
Photos are good too. § Day One – intensive Green Surgery where the issues are
discussed and laid bare on the table. Options are discussed and realities
looked. § Day Two – site meeting (if relevant). Analysis and
recommendations written. § Day Three – team meeting – discussion with all relevant
decision makers, operations personnel and those making purchasing decisions. § One Week after – provision of a recommendation
document, phone meeting with your in-house green change agent and final goals
set. AUDIT Knowing how your event performed is necessary in order
to establish goals for future improvement. We have developed a set of Key Sustainability
Indicators which your event can be audited against. Book us in to assess the
impacts of your event. Measures include: § Transport
Profile and emissions impact § Waste volumes
& emissions impact § Water usage and
emissions impact § Energy usage
and emissions impact § Procurement
review REPORT We can also produce a sustainability report
for your event. This will also include key actions for future change.
