CARBON OFFSETTING Carbon Offsetting is a way of further reducing the climate change impact of your event. For every tonne of CO2 emitted, an equivalent tonne is removed elsewhere through such practices including renewable energy production, supply of energy saving light bulb, or sequestered through re-forestation. However before you consider offsetting you should: ● Reduce energy and transport use and impact ● Replace fossil fuels with renewable resources and then, and only then; ● Neutralise the remaining unavoidable emissions through carbon offsetting schemes.
